The Golf Foundation has announced a new partnership with American Golf, the UK’s leading golf retailer, in a collaboration designed to grow the game and inspire more young people to get into golf.
The partnership marks a significant step forward in the Golf Foundation’s mission to introduce young people from all backgrounds to golf, using the sport to improve their physical and mental wellbeing, while strengthening American Golf’s commitment to supporting grassroots development across the UK.
As part of the partnership, customers shopping in American Golf stores will be given the opportunity to support the Golf Foundation’s work by making a voluntary donation at checkout – providing a simple yet powerful way for golfers to help create more opportunities for young people to access the game.
Alongside this, both organisations are working closely on a series of exciting activations to introduce more young people to the game, and to engage customers, communities and the wider golf audience.
Brendon Pyle, Chief Executive of the Golf Foundation, said: “We’re incredibly proud to be partnering with American Golf, a brand that sits right at the heart of the UK golf community. This partnership represents a fantastic opportunity to introduce more young people to golf and to inspire them to stay in the game for life. Through working with American Golf, we hope to reach more young people than ever before.”
Sophie Fox, Head of Marketing at American Golf, said: “We’re delighted to be partnering with the Golf Foundation and supporting the vital work they do to grow the game from the ground up. Golf has an incredible ability to positively impact young people’s lives, and this partnership allows us to play a meaningful role in opening up those opportunities. We’re excited about the plans we’re developing together and look forward to bringing our customers on that journey with us.”
The partnership will officially launch this summer, with further announcements expected as joint initiatives are rolled out across American Golf’s retail network and wider platforms.
