The European leg of Stephen Curry’s UNDERRATED Golf Tour takes place on The Belfry Resort’s Brabazon Course from 25-27 May.
The tour, now in its third year, was established by the four-time NBA champion to create greater access and competitive opportunities for talented young golfers from underrepresented backgrounds at a time when the sport continues to examine questions around participation, accessibility and pathways into elite competition.
The UNDERRATED Golf Tour is also hosting four events in the United States this summer, with tournaments being held in Florida, Arizona, New Jersey and California from June through to August.
Hosted at the only venue to have staged the Ryder Cup four times, next week’s event in the West Midlands will bring together leading junior golfers from across Europe, alongside a number of high-profile sporting figures, including Gareth Bale, former Premier League footballer turned PGA Professional Peter Odemwingie, and England Under-21 assistant coach Michael Johnson.

Alongside 36-hole tournament play across Boys and Girls divisions (48 players in each) the event will feature coaching sessions and discussions focused on youth development and the future of the game. The cost of accommodation and food while attending the event is covered by Underrated Golf for all players plus a family member or legal guardian.
Stephen Curry said: “The mission with the UNDERRATED Golf European Tour begins and ends with access. There are young players across Europe who have the passion and the skill but have not always had the resources or pathways to fully experience what this game can offer. We want to make sure cost, connections or geography are not the reasons someone is left out.”
