Royal Dornoch partners with Golfmanager to digitalise golf club operations

Iconic Scottish links club selects Golfmanager’s software platform to modernise tee sheet operations, streamline club management, and elevate the player experience.

Golfmanager, the all-in-one cloud platform designed to fully digitalise golf club operations, has announced a landmark partnership with Royal Dornoch Golf Club in Scotland.

The agreement sees one of the world’s most revered golfing destinations adopt Golfmanager’s integrated digital ecosystem to support its complex operations and world-class guest standards.

Officially ranked as the No.4 course in the world by Golf Digest, Royal Dornoch represents the pinnacle of links golf. Located in the Scottish Highlands, the historic club attracts a global audience, balancing high-demand tee sheets with an exceptional member experience.

This partnership reflects Golfmanager’s ability to engineer tailored solutions for world-leading venues facing unique operational demands, ensuring seamless execution across every touchpoint.

At the heart of the project is Golfmanager’s scalable platform, custom-engineered to handle Royal Dornoch’s complex tee sheet and rule engine. As one of the world’s busiest and most prestigious venues, the club caters to diverse booking groups – including international tour operators, global visitors, local guests, and members—each requiring distinct booking windows, pricing structures, and privileges.

To support this dynamic environment, Golfmanager developed custom configurations and modules to its software that enhances the player experience while allowing real-time operational adjustments by club staff.

Key operational highlights powered by Golfmanager include:

  • Membership Management: Streamlined subscription workflows alongside bespoke custom profile fields tailored specifically to Royal Dornoch. The system handles complex add-ons, including locker allocations and bag storage, within a single interface.
  • Expanded Pro Shop & Multi-Warehouse Retail: Powering POS and inventory management for a busy pro shop operation. Following the expansion of the shop’s footprint and stock holding, Golfmanager enables seamless multi-warehouse tracking across retail locations.
  • Elevated Food & Beverage Integration: Supporting the club’s new £13.9m clubhouse developments and exponential growth in food and beverage services, unifying dining transactions, player accounts, and club management under one cloud ecosystem.

“Royal Dornoch requires technology that can match the exceptional standards of our course and the needs of a diverse global player base,” said Neil Hampton, General Manager at Royal Dornoch. “Golfmanager has delivered a highly customised platform that simplifies our complex booking rules, integrates our retail and multi-warehouse operations, and supports our ongoing clubhouse investments.

“The support we have received from the Golfmanager team has been first-class, with several on-site visits both before and after we agreed the partnership to ensure we had a smooth transition from our previous provider and made the most of the software.”

Tom Corrigan, Head of UK & Ireland Operations at Golfmanager, commented: “Partnering with a venue of Royal Dornoch’s stature, a true bucket-list destination ranked fourth in the world, is a proud moment for our team. Designing custom development features to solve their unique tee sheet and membership requirements proves the adaptability of our platform. We look forward to supporting Royal Dornoch as they set new standards for operational excellence.”
