Sunday’s final round coverage on NBC and Peacock averaged 4.3 million viewers to rank as the most watched final round since 2022, and up 6% from last year’s final round (4.1 million viewers for Scottie Scheffler’s victory at Royal Portrush), based on official Nielsen Big Data + Panel and digital data from Adobe Analytics.
Highlighted by New Zealand’s Ryan Fox’s dramatic birdie on the 72nd hole to capture his first major championship and the Claret Jug, Sunday’s audience peaked at 6.1 million viewers on NBC and Peacock from 1.15-1.30pm ET as Fox overtook clubhouse leader Cameron Young.
Saturday’s coverage (8.47am-3.22pm ET) averaged 3.7 million viewers on NBC and Peacock – marking the most-watched third round since 2018 and up 16% from last year (3.2 million viewers).
