Odyssey introduces new range of TRTL mallet putters

Odyssey Golf has launched a new range of TRTL mallet putters designed to deliver exceptionally high MOI in clean, confidence-inspiring designs.

Launched earlier this year in Japan, where the four models have become the top four best-selling putter models in the country, the TRTL range goes on sale in the UK from November 6.

The mid-mallet TRTL shape is built for easy alignment and reflects the modern mallet trend favoured by Tour players and amateur golfers alike with Crank Hosel, Double Bend, and S Neck offerings.

The new TRTL Max shape is designed with maximum MOI and features Odyssey’s popular Square 2 Square design with zero torque, for players who want to minimise face rotation and keep the face square throughout the stroke.

TRTL putters feature new Twin Track alignment with long, uninterrupted lines. Every model features a new Ai-Star insert, a dual layer construction combining urethane and aluminium engineered to deliver consistent ball speed across the face and improve forward roll while delivering iconic Odyssey feel.

The body of the putters are crafted from steel and finished in a premium black PVD, the shell is made from a lightweight ABS and the sole or belly is made from lightweight aerospace-grade aluminium. This advanced multi-material construction allows weight to be pushed to the perimeter of the putter to maximise MOI for greater stability and forgiveness.

The advanced dual-layer Ai-Star insert has an aluminium inner layer with a firmer urethane layer on the outside striking surface. This design delivers speed consistency across the face, incredible forward roll up and down the face, and a firmer responsive feel. This new Forward Roll Design groove design is deeper and more aggressive with a 19° slope. It works in conjunction with the dual layer design to improve forward roll up and down the face.

Engineered with all new sole geometry, this putter is designed to sit naturally square the moment it is placed behind the ball. The refined rake and camber work together to help the sole sit flush to the ground and settle into proper alignment, giving players a more confident setup and a more consistent start to every stroke.

Four discrete weights positioned in the corners of the putter head allow for unprecedented adjustability in an Odyssey mallet, allowing you to move the CG towards the front, rear, heel or toe of the head and fine tune the amount of toe hang the putter has.

“We’ve spent so much time developing and fine-tuning this product over the last year and a half,” said Eric Stubben, Odyssey R&D Director, Putters. “Conceptually it maximises MOI and that’s something that we believe in. We wanted to bring the alignment line all the way to the face, to soften the edges, and we wanted to make the alignment lines highly visible.

“We feel really excited about where we ended up from a functionality standpoint and from a design standpoint as well. The MOI, the CG depth, and the insert really separates TRTL with our face technologies that create more ball speed consistency and better distance control across the face.”

The lineup is already proving a wiiner on Tour as well, and is helping players significantly improve their putting, including Min Woo Lee and recent LPGA Tour winner Yuna Nishimura, along with many other non-staffers. It is already Odyssey’s most requested putter model on Tour, and the company’s expect even more go into play as the global Tours head into 2027.

The new Odyssey TRTL Putters have an RRP of £299 (CH, S, DB) and £329 (Max S2S).
