Seehachet “Pro It” Saifon, general manager of Robinswood Golf Club in Thailand, has won the Asian Golf Industry Federation’s Young Leaders award, recognising his leadership and contribution to the growth and development of golf in Asia.
The award was announced at the AGIF Annual International Summit at the KLGCC Convention Centre in Kuala Lumpur. Open to leaders under 40, the category recognises those who have made an impact through leadership, innovation, sustainability, education or community development.
A golf professional with a background in golf media and video production, Pro It joined Robinswood Golf Club in 2020, bringing a broad experience from across the sport to his role as general manager. His career includes more than 15 years in golf and sports media and a previous role as a producer with Golf Channel.
That experience has helped shape his approach to club management, introducing creative ways for members and families to enjoy golf while supporting the people responsible for delivering them.
Under his leadership, Robinswood has developed a calendar of events and activities designed to bring different generations together. These have included the Ambassador Cup, which welcomed diplomats from around the world, and Neon Night, an evening combining golf, entertainment and family activities on the club’s illuminated par-three course.
Members have also had opportunities to meet leading professional golfers and attend events such as Reignwood Icons of Football, while digital content has helped share club life with a wider audience.
Developing the Robinswood team has been central to his work, encouraging staff to take ownership of their roles, grow in confidence, contribute ideas of their own and heling them develop the skills to deliver great experiences for members and guests.
Pro It said: “I am honoured to receive this award, but I see it as recognition of the entire team at Robinswood Golf Club.
“Throughout my career, I have believed that golf should continue to evolve, bringing fresh ideas and experiences that connect with the next generation. At Robinswood, we have an opportunity to build a golf club and a community where people and families can come together.
“What makes me most proud is seeing our team grow, take ownership and bring these ideas to life. This award belongs to everyone who has been part of that journey.”
Located in Lam Luk Ka, greater Bangkok, Robinswood forms part of Reignwood Park, a world-class, multi-generational community bringing together golf, education, sports, families and lifestyle.
The club’s partnership with the Claude Harmon III Performance Golf Academy Thailand and KIS International School Reignwood Park is one example of that wider vision. Together, they enable aspiring young golfers to combine structured coaching and competition with an International Baccalaureate education.
Students can live, study, train and play within Reignwood Park, with support available for tournament planning, performance tracking and university recruitment. Alongside the programme, Robinswood’s member events and family activities encourage people of different ages and golfing abilities to take part in club life.
Stuart Daly, chief operating officer, said: “Pro It brings a different perspective to golf club management, drawing on his experience as a golf professional and in media to find new ways to engage with members and introduce people to the game.
“Just as importantly, he invests time in the people around him. He encourages our team to develop their skills and take responsibility, and that is reflected in the experiences they deliver. This award is deserved recognition for Pro It and for the contribution he has made to Robinswood.”
Robinswood forms part of Reignwood Group’s golf portfolio alongside Wentworth Club in England and Reignwood Pine Valley in China.
