LIV Golf has announced that the 2025 LIV Golf UK event, which was held at JCB Golf & Country Club in Uttoxeter, generated an estimated $63 million (£45m) in economic impact across Staffordshire and the wider region.

LIV Golf UK attracted 43,000 spectators across three days, generating a significant economic footprint across the West Midlands. This impact encompasses both operational costs and visitor spending on hotels, dining, transport, and hospitality businesses.

Across its 14-event global schedule, LIV Golf’s estimated total economic impact has now reached over $1.5 billion to date and over $600 million in 2025.

After achieving GEO-certification two years in a row, a distinction that recognises leadership in sustainable golf, LIV Golf UK 2025 marked the first time a LIV Golf event utilised solar energy as part of temporary structure builds. The event was 100% powered by renewable energy and successfully diverted 100% of waste from local landfills thanks to surplus food donations, material recycling, and other initiatives.

The UK event also successfully engaged a new generation of spectators, with 26% of ticket holders being under the age of 35 and 32% were attending a golf event for the first time. The event maintained a strong family appeal, with 25% of attendees bringing children and 83% of attendees visiting LIV Golf’s Fan Village, which brings a family-friendly, festival-like atmosphere to each of the league’s events.

Although 59% of attendees lived within a 90-minute drive of JCB Golf & Country Club, the geographic draw extended well beyond the local area, with 39% of fans traveling from elsewhere in the UK and 2% visiting from overseas.

This influx of visitors boosted the local hospitality sector, with 18% of fans staying in overnight accommodation and an additional 3% staying with friends or family during the three-day event.

Ross Hallett, EVP, Head of Events, LIV Golf, said: “The impact of LIV Golf in 2025 reflects what we have always believed—that when LIV Golf comes to town, the entire economy and community benefits. The commercial activity generated across Staffordshire and the wider region is something we are immensely proud of, and it reinforces our commitment to delivering events that leave a lasting legacy well beyond the final round.

“Thanks to our partners at JCB Golf and Country Club, we have become embedded in the local community and enter our third year at the course excited to continue to grow our impact, reach, and passionate UK fan base.”
