Legacy Golf Advisors is celebrating the success of its strategic collaboration with three long-standing client clubs following the publication of the latest Top 100 Golf Courses UK & Ireland rankings.
Hayling Golf Club, Perranporth Golf Club and Machrihanish Dunes have all earned prominent positions in the latest rankings, reflecting years of strategic planning, investment and collaboration alongside Legacy Golf Advisors, strengthening club reputation among golfers while delivering sustainable growth for members, visitors and stakeholders alike.
Working closely with clubs across the UK and internationally, Legacy Golf Advisors provides long-term strategic guidance focused on governance, commercial performance, membership growth and visitor golf. At the heart of this approach is a commitment to enhancing the member experience while helping clubs realise their full potential in an increasingly competitive market.
Among the standout performers is Hayling Golf Club, which has broken into the UK & Ireland Top 100 at 97th, while also climbing 11 places in the England rankings.
The Hampshire links continues to benefit from the implementation of the Mackenzie & Ebert masterplan, led by course manager Graeme Roberts, who has built upon the excellent work of predecessor Greig Easton. Through a series of carefully considered in-house projects, Hayling’s historic Tom Simpson design continues to evolve while remaining true to its traditional character. Combined with some of the finest links turf in the country, the course is widely recognised for the quality of its conditioning and playing experience.

Perranporth Golf Club has continued its impressive rise since partnering with Legacy Golf Advisors in 2021, charting at 60th in England. Set high above Cornwall’s dramatic Atlantic north coastline, the club has undergone significant transformation following the introduction of a comprehensive strategic action plan.
Working alongside General Manager Nathan Gilpin and the club’s leadership team, the focus has centred on improving the member experience, growing the country membership category and strengthening the visitor proposition.
The results have been significant, with strong revenue growth helping to support a series of major reinvestment projects, including long-term water management initiatives, irrigation improvements and plans for a new reservoir. At the same time, Perranporth’s profile has continued to grow among both domestic and international golfers seeking authentic links golf.

North of the border in Scotland, Machrihanish Dunes continues to build on its reputation as one of the country’s most compelling golf destinations, ranking 83rd in the latest Top 100 Golf Courses UK & Ireland ranking.
Legacy Golf Advisors has worked alongside the Southworth Group since 2022, supporting key appointments across sales, marketing and resort leadership while helping shape the long-term vision for the property. In partnership with Resort Director Ian Ferguson, the business has continued to grow as interest in the Kintyre peninsula increases among golfers from around the world. Plans for a second course continue to gather momentum, further strengthening the region’s standing as a destination offering authentic, world-class links golf at exceptional value.
Stuart Gillett, Founder of Legacy Golf Advisors, said: “Working with our clients on long-term strategic plans – and supporting their implementation – is at the core of what we do. Success in this industry takes time, clarity and commitment. By aligning boards, committees and members around a shared vision, and by putting clear metrics and accountability in place, we create the foundations for sustainable growth and continued excellence. The latest ranking success underscores Legacy Golf Advisors’ commitment to delivering impactful, long-term results across the golf industry.”
