Callaway Golf has expanded its fairway wood line-up with the introduction of the new Quantum Mini Spinner, a specialist club designed to help golfers hit higher, softer approach shots from long range.
Billed as a ‘Scoring Wood’, the Quantum Mini Spinner has been created for players who struggle to generate enough height and spin with their long irons or traditional fairway woods. Sitting neatly between a fairway wood and a hybrid, it aims to provide the confidence and control needed to attack pins from distance while offering the stopping power required to hold firm greens.
The Quantum Mini Spinner has already enjoyed success in Japan, where it became the country’s best-selling fairway wood following its launch earlier this year.
A key feature is its compact head design, which incorporates a high centre of gravity and an AI-optimised face engineered to increase spin and tighten shot dispersion. The result is a club that promises greater consistency and precision on long approach shots.
Callaway has also shortened the shaft by three-quarters of an inch compared with a conventional fairway wood – 41.5 inches compared to 42.25 inches – helping golfers make more centred contact. A taller, deeper face provides added confidence from a variety of lies, particularly in the rough, while the company’s Step Sole design reduces turf interaction for cleaner strikes. A lightweight carbon sole allows weight to be repositioned higher in the head, further boosting spin and control.
The Quantum Mini Spinner is available in 7 (21°), 9 (24°) and 11-wood (27°) lofts (11 model is available in the US only), with regular and women’s shaft flex options, and has an RRP of £359/€399/$379.99.
