Award-winning golf resort Tewkesbury Park has taken an important step forward with the appointment of its first Golf Commercial Manager, Emma ‘Lev’ Levett.
With a brief to revolutionise the golf offering at Tewkesbury Park, securing its future as one of Europe’s leading golf resorts, Lev will create a new three-year plan for the sport at the family-owned hotel, which has recently implemented a £9.5m programme of improvements.
“After eight years in the armed forces and a football career at centre back for Cheltenham Town and Forest Green Rovers FC, Lev has a powerful and inspiring personality and has arrived at Tewkesbury Park fizzing with ideas” said Patrick Jones, General Manager. “We are excited about what she will be able to do as we set out our future plans for golf at Tewkesbury Park.”
Armed with Tewkesbury Park’s latest accolade – a summer 2026 ranking among Europe’s Top 100 Luxury Golf Resorts – in her new role Lev aims to increase awareness of Tewkesbury Park’s recent stellar progress among her many elite-level sporting contacts.
“I am a fairly new golfer but I am already addicted to it, and as a lifelong sportswoman I am fascinated by its sports psychology aspects” she said. “I have quickly learnt that golf is as much about testing your character as it is about building your skills, and it is one of the few sports which gives you the time to be yourself while you are playing it, no matter your age, your gender or your ability.
“That individual expression is also what we stand for here at Tewkesbury Park” she said, “so I am looking forward to reconnecting with my friends in the world of sport to invite them to witness what we are doing here at first hand.
“They will find an extraordinarily high quality golfing experience along with accommodation, dining and wellness facilities of a similar level. Tewkesbury Park does things differently and I am thrilled to have been asked to power up all aspects of golf here.”

The 36 year old service delivery management specialist lives in nearby Cheltenham with her partner, a physio at Birmingham City FC. “Having recently become hooked on the sport I have devoured countless hours of YouTube golf, and we are going to invite many of those creative talents here to Tewkesbury Park” she said. “We are the ideal base both for elite athletes who need recovery time, and also for creators looking to produce aspirational content in an affordable luxury environment, with memorable personal touches unique to Tewkesbury Park everywhere you look.”
Lev’s new central role will be key as the resort evolves away from a traditional golf membership model towards a whole-resort subscription, where course access and golf lessons are included along with Tewkesbury Park’s advanced wellness facilities.
“We will shortly announce further recruits to strengthen our golf team at Tewkesbury Park” said Patrick Jones. “Having been both a striker and a central defender on the football pitch, Lev is used to taking a leadership role. This will be vital as she builds a team which is set to elevate golf still further as one of the major pillars of our success, alongside our world-class accommodation, dining and meetings & events facilities.”
Tewkesbury Park unveiled a spectacular facelift in 2018, and has since won multiple awards as the UK’s best hotel for conferences and special occasions. In 2019 Tewkesbury Park joined a select few golf resorts, among them Gleneagles, Rockliffe Hall and The Roxburghe, in being named among the Top 100 British Hotels by The Sunday Times.
At just ten minutes from Junction 9 of the M5 motorway, Tewkesbury Park is the ideal gateway for the many beauty spots of The Cotswolds, with views across the Malverns and the distant Welsh Mountains. Convenient for Bristol, Birmingham and Oxford, and at just under two hours from London Heathrow Airport, Tewkesbury Park is the ideal luxury location for an escape into the rural beauty of England’s West Country.
