A Spanish golf resort featuring the only 18-hole championship course in Europe designed by Bernhard Langer has been put up for public auction with a starting price of €1.2 million.
Panorámica Golf, located in Sant Jordi, near Valencia, is being offered for sale following the bankruptcy of owner Avanza Golf Panorámica.
The property is being sold as a going concern, with the golf and hospitality operations continuing as normal while the sale process takes place.
The resort currently has approximately 250 members and 14 employees, with the transaction structured to ensure continuity of membership and the transfer of existing staff to a new owner.
At the heart of the asset is an 18-hole, par-72 championship golf course designed by two-time Masters champion Langer. Extending across more than 900,000 square metres, the American-style layout features narrow fairways, large greens and five lakes that come into play on seven holes. The course, which has previously hosted a Ladies European Tour event, is complemented by a pitch & putt course and practice facilities.
Also included in the sale is a 1,200-square-metre Mediterranean-style clubhouse, incorporating reception and changing facilities, pro shop, management offices and the El Olivo Restaurant, together with a commercial kitchen, bar, grill and outdoor terrace.
Operational assets include 500 square metres of maintenance buildings, specialist course machinery and an automated irrigation network supplied by seven interconnected lakes.
Interest is being sought from golf operators, hotel groups and investors, with the online auction closing on December 15.
