PGA Buying Summit introduces SS27 fashions and footwear

The 2026 Summit featured 196 exhibitors and attracted over 1,000 registered attendees.

The 2026 PGA Buying Summit reinforced its growing status as one of the golf industry’s most influential mid-season business events, bringing together more than 1,000 PGA of America professionals, retailers, buyers and brand executives at PGA Frisco in Texas from July 26-29.

Now in its fourth year at the Texas venue, the 2026 Summit recorded 196 exhibiting companies filling sold-out exhibition space, including 85 first-time exhibitors.

The event offered buyers one of the earliest opportunities to assess Spring 2027 apparel, footwear and accessories collections. The strong presence of emerging brands alongside established names reflected the continued evolution of the golf marketplace and the increasing appetite for fresh products and lifestyle-focused offerings.

More than 165 VIP buyers attended the event representing an estimated $155 million in purchasing power and $337 million in retail sales. Private appointments provided an efficient start to the buying process before the exhibition opened more widely, allowing retailers to compare collections, strengthen supplier relationships and identify new opportunities ahead of next season.

One of the standout additions for 2026 was the launch of the Next Drop: Golf Style & Culture Experiences programme. Designed to showcase emerging brands and entrepreneurs, the initiative introduced buyers to companies not yet widely represented in golf retail while highlighting the growing influence of fashion, culture and lifestyle within the game.

Education remained a central pillar of the Summit, with a comprehensive programme delivered in partnership with the PGA of America and the Association of Golf Merchandisers. Sessions covered a broad range of topics, including retail strategy, merchandising, consumer behaviour, artificial intelligence, technology and business operations. The emphasis on practical insights ensured attendees left with ideas that could be implemented immediately within their own businesses.

Networking also played a significant role in the event’s success. The Summer Jam transformed the PGA District into a lively festival atmosphere, combining live music, golf activities and brand activations that encouraged informal conversations between retailers, exhibitors and industry professionals. Meanwhile, the Fashion Show & Reception provided an engaging showcase for Spring 2027 collections, helping buyers identify emerging trends while recognising standout brands through live audience voting.

The annual Summer Shootout on The Swing short course rounded off the social programme, offering another opportunity for exhibitors and buyers to strengthen relationships in a relaxed setting before the final day of business.

“The PGA Buying Summit is designed to bring together the people, products and ideas shaping what’s next in golf retail,” said Lisa Langas, PGA Shows Event Director. “The combination of early access to Spring collections, meaningful education and extensive networking helps drive new business, strengthen relationships and spark fresh ideas. It was exciting to see the energy across the Summit as buyers discovered new products, exhibitors forged new relationships and industry professionals exchanged ideas that will help shape the season ahead.”

Next year’s PGA Buying Summit will return to PGA Frisco from July 25-28.
