Brook Taverner opens new menswear store in St Andrews

Heritage men's clothing brand opens up new store at the Home of Golf.

British menswear brand Brook Taverner has opened its newest store in St Andrews in Scotland, bringing premium lifestyle clothing, occasionwear and expert styling to the historic Home of Golf.

With a proud heritage, a thriving high street and a year-round mix of locals, students and visitors who value quality and craftsmanship, St Andrews is a natural home for a brand built on timeless British style and clothes made to last.

Arriving as autumn sets in on the Fife coast, the store also features Brook Taverner’s complete autumn/winter collection, including wool-blend blazers, knitwear, overcoats, shirts and smart-casual separates designed for Scotland’s changeable weather.

The new store, which is located at 121 South Street, opens as St Andrews looks ahead to one of the biggest moments in its sporting calendar, with the 155th Open Championship returning to the Old Course in July 2027.

For those heading out on to the links, Brook Taverner offers a curated edit of refined layering, including quarter-zip knitwear, polos, gilets, lightweight outerwear and smart trousers, that moves easily from the first tee to the clubhouse.

St Andrews becomes Brook Taverner’s 19th UK store, reflecting the brand’s continued investment in physical retail at a time when many national retailers are reducing their presence on the high street. Since 2017, Brook Taverner has opened an average of two stores a year, and it is targeting a UK estate of up to 30 locations within the next five years.

Oliver Campbell, Brook Taverner’s Retail Director, said: “St Andrews is a very special place to open a Brook Taverner store. It is a town with a proud heritage, a strong local high street and a year-round mix of locals, students and visitors who value quality, tradition and clothes that are made to last.

“Known around the world as the Home of Golf, and with the eyes of the golfing world turning to St Andrews for The Open next summer, this is the perfect moment to bring modern British menswear and expert service to the town, and an important step in our continued retail growth across the UK.”
